Black and white photography comes to us from a otherworldly realm: the world of ideas, soul, contrasts, and subtle accents. Shooting black & white street photography is a kind of meditation, a niravna state, a dream where anything is possible, and where the universe gives the frames.

Here are black and white photographs taken in various places since 2008, including Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Russia, Uzbekistan, and China. More than half of the photos were taken on Ilford film, using my favorite film cameras, the Minolta X700 and Minolta Dynax5.
